Gavin McCormack has spent the last year raising money to build a school for children in a land very far away from home.
He’s the school principal from Sydney who’s not only running his own school in Australia, but he’s managing teacher training centres in Kathmandu, writing children’s books to change the world and building schools for those less fortunate.
But after 1 year of running marathons, auctioning painting and having collections in his community Gavin was still struggling to afford the total cost of the school, which will educate over 100 children.
The school in Nawalparasi, Bardaghat ward -12. Will be provide education to pupils from a variety of castes including Chaudhari , Musahar , Rai , Limbu Bahun cheetri and Newar.
Thanks to Krishna Bhakta Diwali from Ghorka Eco Panels (Nepal) the school building is finally possible.

The company who have already assisted Gavin build a school last Christmas in Kavre have offered to provide the earthquake walls for free, to allow the project to start.
The lasting friendship between the two men is set to last for decades as Krishna dedicates a huge amount of time to charity with Gavin always looking for assistance.

The government run school will open on Christmas Day and will be the greatest gift these two men could ever provide for a community such as this.
